Budget Strategy (Year 1, Week 1)

Start with parsnips (free seeds from Lewis) and potatoes (50g seeds, 80g sell). Reinvest all earnings into more seeds. Parsnips are fast (4 days) and let you buy more expensive seeds sooner.

Mid-Spring Investment

Once you can afford them, cauliflower is the best non-repeating spring crop. Plant a 3x3 patch for a chance at a giant cauliflower (worth 15-21 regular cauliflowers).

The Strawberry Play

Strawberries are the most profitable spring crop, but seeds are only available at the Egg Festival on Spring 13. Buy as many as you can afford. They regrow every 4 days after the initial 8-day growth.

Pro tip: Save one strawberry and use the Seed Maker (unlocked later) to get seeds for Year 2. Planting on Day 1 of Spring Year 2 gives maximum harvests.

Don't Forget Bundles

Plant at least one parsnip, green bean, cauliflower, and potato for the Spring Crops Bundle. Missing these means waiting until next year.
